Our God Heals!

Recently we have seen an increase in healing testimonies within our churches.  These testimonies, recorded at Hope Church, Glasgow throughout 2006, are faith building and encouraging.

I was suffering with a lot of pain in my knee after surgery in July 2006 for removal of cartilage. I had been told by the doctor that it would heal in six weeks but three months later it was still very painful most of the time, especially when walking. During a Sunday morning meeting in November we were told that if anyone was in pain they should not delay but get prayer. I asked a friend sitting next to me if she would pray for me which she did. The next day I noticed that the pain had almost gone. I still feel a little discomfort sometimes but have had no pain since.

I had an accident in 2001 and broke my left arm. After the arm had healed, the doctor diagnosed a 15% disability and said that it would never improve. I was now unable to raise my arm straight. We prayed that there would be no loss of functionality in my arm. Two or three months ago I noticed one Sunday morning during worship as I raised my hands that my arm seemed to be straighter. I went back and asked the doctor if the arm was now straight. He said that it was now less than 10% so my arm is straightening - although I was told it would never improve.

Over a period of about 10 years I have become increasingly deaf to the point of hardly being able to hear anything out of my left ear. I made several trips to the doctor over the years but to no avail. It has become increasingly worse. During one Sunday morning meeting I felt God prompting me to go forward for prayer for my hearing.  My left ear was healed – to the point that the hearing in that ear is now better than in my right ear!
