King's Lynn Church Planting Day
Andy Moyle and his family will be moving to King’s Lynn later this year. They recently gathered in the town with others considering joining the church to seek God together.
After a week of storms that had battered the UK, the sun shone on Sat 20 January for the King’s Lynn Day. It was thrilling to see 25 people come to show interest in the forthcoming church plant - some to encourage and support but most to test what God was saying to them.
The day was filled with fun, food and facts and a great sense of God’s presence as we worshipped and prayed for the area. One comment was that it didn’t feel like being at church all day.
Andy Moyle shared the story of his call to plant in King’s Lynn. Dan Morgan shared the history of the town. Janet Moyle’s PowerPoint presentation gave a light-hearted insight into life in Lynn now.
Andy shared the vision of planting a multi-national church that will be a gateway for the gospel and to the nations. The Gateway Church will be looking to reach the many Russian speakers in the area and open up the Wash and the Fens for other church plants.
The day finished with a car treasure hunt. Teams were sent out on a route that took in all the various areas of the town and were given questions that required eagle eyes. We got a good feel for the area, whilst getting to know others thinking about coming. This was a definite highlight of the day.
Watch out for other events as we gather a team to plant The Gateway church in King’s Lynn. For more details click
