The Latest Issue

Welcome to Connect E-news!

We are not called simply to survive in this difficult world, but to have a transforming effect on society as we ‘preach the gospel to all creation’ (Mark 16: 15). We live in challenging times. Recently the government has been debating scientific advance and how that affects the way we value life.  The current economic climate is causing many to struggle under the weight of increasing debt. As Christians, how should we respond?

In this edition of E-news we report from the recent Social Action conference, which took time to look at various aspects of caring for our society; from debt advice counselling and addictions to trafficking. Roger Smith (Downham Way Family Church) challenges us to think Biblically about the complex issues surrounding the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill.

We also feature a story of a family’s decision to move from their home of 17 years to become part of a new, young church. Be stirred to prayer and action as you read these articles, and give thanks to God for all he is doing.
